Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to the questions families ask most often when exploring care options.
Your Questions, Answered
We know choosing a care home can feel overwhelming. These answers will help you understand what makes INKA Health Services a trusted choice for families across the South Sound.
How is an adult family home different from a nursing home?
An Adult Family Home (AFH) is a small, residential setting — typically a private home — licensed to care for up to 6 residents. Unlike large facilities, AFHs offer personalized, one‑on‑one care in a true home environment.
Is INKA Health Services licensed by Washington State?
Yes. INKA Health Services is fully licensed by Washington State’s Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS). We undergo regular inspections and maintain full compliance with all requirements.
What level of care can you provide?
We provide a wide range of care — from daily activities (bathing, dressing, meals) to more complex support including medication management, memory care, and coordination with hospice or palliative care.
How much does care cost?
Rates vary depending on care needs, room type, and other factors. We discuss pricing during your consultation and help explore Medicaid or veterans’ benefits when applicable.
Can family members visit anytime?
Absolutely. We warmly welcome family visits and encourage ongoing involvement. We simply ask that you call or text ahead so we can ensure your loved one is ready.
Do you provide memory care or Alzheimer’s support?
Yes. Our team is experienced in supporting residents living with Alzheimer’s, dementia, and other cognitive conditions. We use structured routines and a calm environment to support memory care residents.
How do I begin the admission process?
Reach out by phone, email, or through our contact form. We’ll schedule a consultation, conduct a needs assessment, and create a personalized care plan together.
